At a minimum, I will be pushing for a quarterly fundraiser that would reflect what members see with NCRF, which Dave has given his blessing for. There will be an article in an upcoming Weekly announcing PAC is accepting online contributions for the first time in its history and am working on getting something in the JCR magazine.

All great ideas, Sonia and I concur about the planning in advance. All topics to cover on 7/11 – thanks again!

I think there needs to be a major push for outside donations for PAC, as well as having forms available in the packets (or bags, whatever is being used).  Having them placed on tables in the sessions might get some attention also.  A highlight article in JCR wouldn’t hurt. 

Any thought to having a couple of vendors donate nicer door prizes and holding a drawing during the luncheon?  We did that during my year as TCRA president and we brought in over $8,000 in one hour.  Prizes were rolling bags.

We can talk about this on the 11th, but I wanted to just get y’all thinking about these things.  The Derby hats on the board idea would have been great, but it’s a bit late to plan all that.  As I mentioned, I’m a planner and like to have things done way ahead of time.

  • July's PAC Governing Board meeting will be on 7/11 at 8pm Eastern. Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89441527207
  • Tomorrow, 6/28 is the RSVP deadline for state associations to reply to PAC's Chair that they will be bringing a basket for our fundraiser
    • Based on responses to the listserv and not to the Chair per directions, I've tallied 9 confirmed states, 1 pending from the responses. This can be reconciled at the 7/11 meeting for a final count during Chair updates.
  • Yesterday I received a call from Dave saying PAC's request to have karaoke cannot be accommodated this year
