Nice job, Jocelynn.  I would yield to the committee planning pros, but I will throw out a suggestion to to have a starting point, 15"L x 15"W x 15'H.  Remember, winners can ship it to themselves or break down the baskets so you can probably be liberal on your sizing.

Before I send this email to NCRA Affiliated State Associations, I would like for the Committee to add any input that should be included in the email below, including the prospective size dimensions of the baskets (I’ve highlighted this language below). Once I get approval from the Committee concerning this, I will make sure to send the email out ASAP. Once the email is sent, we will also make sure that we begin marketing. “Good Afternoon State Leaders,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of NCRA's Political Action Committee (PAC) and I want to let you know about the NCRA PAC Fundraiser—the NCRA PAC Gift Basket Extravaganza—that will be held at this year's 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida. By contributing to NCRA PAC, you have the direct power to shape and influence how the court reporting, captioning, legal videography, scopist, and associated legal professions are represented in Congress. This year is a Midterm Election year, so that makes your participation this year more important than ever! NCRA has the unique opportunity to cultivate new alliances in the Federal Government and to ensure that members of Congress, who support and know the importance of the court reporting and captioning professions, remain in office. To raise PAC funds to help our allies in Congress, NCRA PAC is holding a Gift Basket Extravaganza at this year's 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo.  

We are asking our NCRA Affiliated State Associations to donate one gift basket to NCRA PAC. Ideally, a gift basket would showcase the uniqueness and pride that you have in your state and state association.

Here's how it works: NCRA State Affiliated State Associations will donate baskets to the NCRA PAC Gift Basket Extravaganza. PAC basket donees will bring their baskets and basket descriptions (please see below) to the NCRA PAC booth upon arrival to the 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo. Then, Conference attendees (who are also NCRA members) who contribute to NCRA PAC, will receive raffle tickets based on the amount of their contribution. After contributing and receiving their raffle tickets, NCRA PAC contributors will place their raffle tickets in the basket that they want to win. Lastly, the NCRA PAC raffle will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. during the last coffee break in the Exposition Hall, where the winner of each basket will be chosen at random. You must be present during the raffle to win! The raffle will be announced on NCRA’s Conference app, as well as in the Exposition Hall on the day of the raffle.  

*Additionally, each state that contributes a gift basket will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a free registration to the 2023 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp (February 26 to February 28, 2023). The free registration will be based on the basket that accumulates the highest number of raffle tickets—essentially, the basket with the biggest draw.

If you plan to submit a basket on behalf of your state, please be advised of the following:

· You will be responsible for transporting your basket to the NCRA PAC Booth at the 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo. NCRA is not responsible nor liable for the transport or receipt of the basket at the Conference hotel. It is highly advised that you do not ship your basket to the Conference hotel, but rather bring it with you personally to the event.

· Your basket should be no larger than XYZ—we want to ensure that the winners of the basket(s) will be able to easily transport the basket home post-Conference.

· Included with your basket, please:

o Provide the name of your NCRA Affiliated State Association;

o Provide a brief description of the contents and the total value of the contents that are in your basket;

o Include this information with your basket when you bring it to the NCRA PAC Booth at the 2022 NCRA Conference & Expo; and

o Please also send this information prior to Conference if you will be contributing a basket to NCRA Director of Government Relations Jocelynn Moore at jmoore@ncra.org.

· Please consider making a video clip of your basket so we can let the NCRA membership know what goodies your state association will be donating! Please send the clip to NCRA Director of Government Relations Jocelynn Moore at jmoore@ncra.org
