I hope you are doing well. I wanted to check-in to let you know that as of now, I have not yet heard from any of the state leaders as to any big tickets prizes that they would be willing to donate. They have until this Friday and I am hoping someone will come through. Have any of you been contacted about prizes on your end?

Additionally, I am in talks with our Education & Certification department to see if we can raffle-off a free certification for folks. I think this will be doable. However, I would prefer that we have additional prizes, as we don’t want the only one to come from the Association itself.

Further, Shaunise, would you possibly be interested in raffling-off a spot for someone to record on your Podcast with you? I wasn’t sure if this was something you’d be interested in doing, but I thought it might be fun.

Lastly, does the Committee have any suggestions regarding prizes or have you reached-out to anyone regarding the PAC fundraiser? After the prize/donation deadline, I will be setting-up a call for us to discuss. Please look out for a Doodle poll soon to note your availability for a call.

Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you so much for joining us on Tuesday for our NCRA PAC Governing Board meeting. I have attached our minutes from our meeting to this email.

Additionally, during our meeting, it was discussed that we would try to gather a couple of big-ticket items to raffle off for our annual PAC fundraiser. We decided that we would contact our state leaders to see if there is anything they’d be willing to donate to the PAC fundraiser. I have drafted an email to state leaders that I plan on sending out below. Please let me know if there is anything I should add or omit. Lastly, in the instance that we are not able to secure big ticket items from state leaders, please continue to think of items that individuals or state associations might be willing to donate to the PAC. Our primary goal is to secure something as soon as possible, so we can then determine logistics.

Here is the email I’ve drafted to state leaders below. I tried to make it short and sweet, but as detailed as possible. I also included between one and five big ticket items taking the FEC’s one-third rule into consideration:

“Good Afternoon State Leaders,

We need your help! For the first time in two years, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual NCRA PAC fundraiser in-person at the 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada!

Due to resort restrictions and social distancing policies, we are unable to host our usual basket fundraiser, as we are seeking to make this PAC fundraiser as contactless as possible. Because we cannot have our usual abundance of baskets (which we will greatly miss), we are hoping to gather several big-ticket items.

This is where you come in and where we need your help! We are looking for between one and five big-ticket items that individuals or state associations would be willing to donate to raffle-off at the NCRA PAC fundraiser. These items could include vacation timeshares, electronics, or even intangible items, including a seminar, training, or fun Zoom event that you or your association would be interested in hosting. Again, we are only looking for between one and five big-ticket items. Additionally, the person or state association donating the item will be personally responsible for ensuring that the item (if tangible) makes it to Conference; NCRA will be unable to ship any items. Lastly, the individuals or state associations who donate a big-ticket item will be entered to win a free registration to the 2022 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp.

We are looking for donations by May 14, 2021. If you or your state association are interested in donating, please email NCRA Director of Government Relations Jocelynn Moore directly at jmoore@ncra.org before the deadline.
